Pair of decorative obelisks in fractal resin, which can be attributed to the Pierre Girardon workshop*, work from the 1970s, from the 20th century. These obelisks are in good general condition. We have other decorative obelisks for sale on this site. * Pierre and Christine GIRAUDON (workshop active between 1960 and 2001). Pierre Giraudon (1923-2012) is a French biologist who embeds plants, animals and others in resin for academic purposes. Working in Canada in the 1940s, he returned to France in 1949 and began to work on his favorite material from an artistic point of view, for his pleasure. From the 1960s to the 1980s, he made sculptures, lamp bases and objects in colored resin. Refusing the term artist, he considered himself above all a biologist, even if he left us magnificent objects of art very recognizable by their shapes and colors.
