"Henri Presset (1928-2013) - Sculpture With Shoes And Woman's Body - Surrealism - Bronze"
Beautiful bronze proof with golden patina from the 70s signed by the Swiss sculptor Henri Presset (1928-2013). At first glance we see a woman's body mounted on a base that contains the mold of this same body... but on closer inspection this woman's body is in reality the meeting of two women's shoes pressed against each other. It is this little neo-surrealist side that is interesting in this sculpture. This one, which was made early in the artist's career, stands out from the very linear and geometric work that Presset then followed. The work also bears the foundry stamp Pastori, a Swiss foundry that no longer exists.
Dimensions: 45 cm.
Good condition.
