"19th Century Rococo Style Brown Patina Bronze Thermometer "
The double Réaumur and Centigrade scale (i.e. Celsius) gives us an indication to date this thermometer. Given that the Celsius value was adopted as the official scale at a convention in 1794, this gives a first clue. However, even fifty years later, newspapers continued to give the temperature in both scales, so we can reasonably place this Louis XV style bronze model from the first half of the 19th century.
