The top of the desk is equipped with a roller cover, a common feature in desks called “bureau à cylindre”. Above the worktop, there is a small shelf with three small drawers, useful for stationery or small items.
The cabinet has two groups of drawers arranged symmetrically on both sides, three on each side. Each drawer is decorated with geometric veneers and inlays that create a "chevron" pattern. The knobs or handles of the drawers are made of metal worked in Rococo style, with an elaborate and decorative shape. The legs are wavy, with a light notch at the top and a curl pattern at the bottom.
The piece of furniture as a whole expresses all the most important and refined stylistic characteristics of Tuscan furniture.
