Édouard Delabrièrre born in Paris on March 29, 1829 and died in the same city on February 7, 1910 is a French animal sculptor. Édouard Delabrièrre first studied painting with the painter Jean-Baptiste Delestre before turning to sculpture2. He exhibited regularly at the Salon des artistes français from 1848 to 1898 and received an honorable mention in 1859. On June 20, 1867, he married Eugénie Alléon in Paris. Animal sculptor influenced by Antoine-Louis Barye, he almost exclusively creates groups or statuettes of animals. His cast iron works are published by the Durenne art foundry and by the Val d'Osne foundry under the direction of Pierre Louis Rouillard.
