"Léon Laurent Galand (1872-1960) Charming Painting Ballerina Dancer In Tutu Young Woman "
Charming oil on canvas depicting a ballerina in a tutu looking at herself in the mirror of her dressing table. Our young ballerina with a pretty face offers us a very beautiful pose, her bust slightly inclined towards the mirror, a bouquet of multi-colored flowers in her hand. On her toes, she begins a classical dance step. The subtle variation of colors, impressionist touches as well as the delicate presence of a Japanese bouquet of flowers on the left add to the grace that emerges from the subject. The painting is highlighted by its original "Montparnasse" frame with a golden patina with its cartouche with the artist's name. Signed lower right "Léon Galand". The artist is listed in the Bénézit.
