"Delftware Lamp."
This large lamp consists of a Delft earthenware vase, the rich decoration, in the Chinese style, in blue on a white background, is made of arabesques of palmettes and stylized flowers, geometric patterns. Of large dimensions, the vase alone measures 65 cm, the whole with the lampshade 100 cm and the width of the foot is 27 cm. It was electrified some time ago and the electric wire, although in good condition, deserves to be replaced, the silk covering the plastic wire is worn. An enamel jump is to be noted on the belly. We present it with the lampshade it had when we acquired it, but it is no longer impeccable. It bears on the back the mark of the manufacturer "Les deux sauvages" which belonged to Mattheus Van De Boogaert from 1750 to 1765. 18th century period.
