"18th Century Genoese Dagger "
Superb Genoese dagger from the 18th century. Forged steel blade with a single edge and a long counter-edge. Two fine grooves on the back of the blade from the ricassot to the counter-edge. Two shallow grooves on each side of the blade. Metal ring with striated edges. Ivory handle finely carved with longitudinal bands. Metal pommel fitted to the chiseling of the handle from which the hammered silk emerges (the ring and the pommel may be silver). A slight split in the handle 2.5 cm from the ring. Original leather case with metal rivet at the bottom and brass entry. Length with scabbard 30.3 cm Length of the knife 29.6 cm Length of the handle 10.8 cm Length of the blade 18.3 cm
