Pair Of 19th Century Portraits, Golden Frames
Portrait couple, husband and wife, half-length seated. The figures have been portrayed with extreme precision, described even in the smallest details. Note: the wrinkles on the face, the decorative elements that embellish the figures (earrings, ring, neckerchiefs, stick, ...) and the clothes. His clothes would make one think of an American soldier. Most likely it is a pair of photographic portraits taken entirely, including the backgrounds, with oil colors. The frames are contemporary, gilded with leaf. Period: 19th century.
Condition: very good, signs and wear are due to use and time.
