Object description :

"Vinegar Bowl In Sterling Silver And Perpignan Crystal Circa 1760/65 By Antoine Tarbal"
A solid silver vinegar maker...
Checked at the tax collector...
From PERPIGNAN - FRANCE...
By the goldsmith ANTOINE TARBAL...
With pretty hallmarks on the tray and in the carafe holders...
The carafes are original and are made of blown crystal, sandblasted at the bottom...
And they are a little warped in one place...
But it is frankly very light...!
Both engraved with vine leaves and bunches of grapes...
An olive branch with leaves and fruit embeds the vine decoration on each side...
All the engravings are fine and light...!
The handles are hot-glued...
The carafe holders and the cork holders are removable...
A notch and a nipple allow for attachment...
A way of doing things never seen before...
One of the carafe holders with two lost leaves...
If necessary or requested, I can have one made by molding on the other...
Estimated quote 300/400€ excluding VAT...!
To be confirmed...
I have just cleaned it for the moment (for the silver part) there are traces under the tray that will go away with a little elbow grease...!
Of course all this is not serious...
I have other photos and I can take some if necessary without worry...!
In the center of the tray it has engraved a coat of arms with a count's crown...
And in other at the level of the decoration a flower (for me a pansy) and 3 scallop shells...
The specialists will be more than me...!
I think so of an ecclesiastical of nobility of dress...!
Note again that it is with two loops and not with a central barrel to carry it...
A very beautiful object...
Perhaps a museum object...
Total weight... 1 kilo 590 gr ...
Weight of the solid silver parts... 1 kilo 118 gr...
