Pair Of Important Potpourris From The End Of The 19th Century

Description:
Chiseled and gilded bronze, cut crystal.
Each of the covered vases and potpourris in the Regency style of this spectacular and elegant pair is designed in the spirit of large architectural basins. The crystal belly with wide moldings and fluting is surrounded by gilded bronze in the form of three putti in sheaths resting on double ram's paw feet.
The openwork neck with oval holes is decorated with rosettes and carries a crystal lid with a rosette and pine cone grip. The deep and vigorous chiseling contributes to the exceptional side of these objects.
By its quality these potpourris can be attributed to the Escalier de Cristal.
This house of luxury objects officiated for more than a century from 1804 to 1923. Among other extraordinary creations, a crystal staircase was installed in the store, thus giving it its famous name.

Condition:
Practically perfect, very beautiful gilding, some rare age oxidations practically invisible and treated.
