Elegant desk made of rosewood and amaranth marquetry from the mid-19th century. Supported by four wavy legs, it has a drop-down door with an internal surface covered in leather, an internal cabinet complete with three small drawers and an internal sliding cabinet surface that covers a compartment underneath that acts as a secret drawer. The cabinet is enriched with beautiful and elegant gilded bronze applications on the main parts of the same, complete with bronze shoes. The cabinetmaker's signature is engraved on both hinges of the drop-down door, A. BASTCT LYON.
