Provenance: - Estate of Madame Anne-Marie Rousset - Former Robert Rousset collection (1901-1981) Robert Rousset acquired the Compagnie de la Chine et des Indes, a gallery located at 39 avenue de Friedland in Paris, which was subsequently managed by three generations of Roussets: Robert (1901-1982), Jean-Pierre Rousset (1936-2021), Hervé du Peuty, his nephew and Mike Winter-Rousset, heir to the collection. He made generous donations, among others, to the Guimet Museum in Paris in 1978, with numerous Chinese funerary statuettes in terracotta which are now presented in the permanent collections.
