Prayer rug composed of a mihrab and reproducing the boteh motif over its entire surface. A darker border is framed by two small herati (flower) borders. This rug undoubtedly finds its inspiration in the Chirvan Marasali rugs of the 19th century. Beautiful harmony of colors.
Boteh: Ancient motif with different meanings. It can represent the transformation of Zoroaster into a cypress, symbol of eternity, but also into a drop of water, a palm, a tree. The term boteh means "flowering bush" in Persian. There is a similarity with yin and yang.
