Object description :

"Embroidered Linen Sheet And Lace And Two Matching Pillowcases From Château Under Count's Crown 19th Century "
Exceptional embroidered linen and bobbin lace from Puy-en-Velay set consisting of a sheet and a pair of matching pillowcases. Entirely handmade. A large "SBK" monogram measuring 15 cm x 12 cm under a 12 cm x 6.5 cm Count's crown adorns the center of the discovery. The discovery and its returns are finely decorated on the edge with a wide bobbin lace from Puy but also with an in-between of this same lace. Between the lace border and the in-between, a 10 cm wide sheet strip is lined. All without forgetting the various complex openwork also present on this beautiful work. The bottom hem is handmade. A very beautiful fall of the material. The pair of matching pillowcases are also very finely embroidered and decorated with the same Puy lace. This is indeed a real pair, the monograms and crowns being located at the opposite corner. Dimensions: Sheet: 230 cm wide x 322 long Uncovered height and returns: 100 cm Pillowcases: 71 cm x 71 cm and 83 cm x 83 cm approximately with the lace border Good condition. Folds from handling. Tiny stains. In places, slight traces of yellowing due to their storage in a cupboard. Pillowcases: Some parts of lace to be sewn up, 1 tiny hole on one, 1 small hole on the other (see photos).
