"Russian Wicker Shoes "
These folk art shoes, made of wicker, were called Laptis, they were worn in Russia, until the 1930s, by rural populations and the most modest social classes, today we can see them accompanying traditional costumes. The shoes that we offer, very finely braided and embellished with a satin bow, were to be worn for special occasions. In good general condition, they were probably very little worn, however it is necessary to note one or two cuts in the length of the braiding. 19th century. Length 27 cm.
