Biography:
Oumar Katta Diallo (1946-2018) is part of the first generations of Senegalese artists trained at the School of Arts of Senegal.
There he followed the classical teachings of the master Iba Ndiaye from 1960 to 1967 before finding himself in the free workshops of Pierre Lods who would provide his mentoring.
He would temporarily teach visual arts before devoting himself to his career with a first exhibition in 1969.
He would subsequently exhibit in Africa, Europe and the United States.
Diallo is featured in several public and private collections with his unique signature despite the diversity of his stylistic approaches.
