"Landscape Watercolor Samuel Henry Baker "1824-1909"
Watercolor painting depicting a mountain landscape with a lake of great workmanship signed Samuel Hanry Baker English landscape artist who painted mountain landscapes and rural landscapes in watercolor. Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artist, he trained at the Birmingham School of Design and took lessons from Joseph Paul Pettit from whom he inherited the distinctive drawing style of the Birmingham School with its clear outlines and bold hatching. Finally, the painting is inserted in a beautiful gilded frame from the late 19th century.
