Portrait Of A Lady From The Mid-19th Century

Elegant "pastel on cardboard applied on canvas" painting of French origin signed on the right "Anais Polonié 1856", depicting a young lady, where the elegance and graceful forms of the young woman are striking. The soft colors of the portrait highlight the grace and elegance of this young female figure. The pictorial mastery is such that it appears as a real presence. Elegantly dressed in a blue silk damask dress adorned with delicate lace, a black lace fular that covers the head and is gathered and tied around the neck. The bracelet and the gold and cameo ring worn are of great taste and elegance. Depicted half-length sitting on an armchair, with a graceful posture with the face resting lightly on the hand. Great attention to the details of a luxurious outfit, a tender pose and a serene face. The painting is inserted in a notable antique oval frame in gilded wood with pure gold, all worked with "contemporary" engraving.
