Couple of anthropomorphic sculptures in Afzelia wood by Begga D’Haese (1934 – 2023). Younger sister of Reinhoud D'Haese who was part of the nursery of the Cobra group in the 1950s and Roel D'Haese who is considered the greatest Flemish surrealist sculptor, Begga had to make a name for himself. From 1969 she start working on monumental sculptures. Carved in Afselia wood and resting on a base in blue stone. Around 1980.
