Signed E. Haentzschel lower left - Jugendstil frame Daughter of an Alsatian engineer, Élisabeth Haentzschel studied at the Académie Julian in Paris between 1902 and 1904. Imbued with the modernity of the different artistic movements in vogue in the capital, she painted with speed, luminosity and an apparent touch. The artist specialized in outdoor painting and still life. She exhibited at the Maison d'Art alsacienne between 1906 and 1914, in Paris and abroad.
