Beautiful oval brooch decorated with a domed enameled miniature representing a woman dressed in antique style sitting on a rock in a landscape and drinking from the neck of an amphora.
The motif is surrounded by a frieze of tiny gold lambrequins standing out against a deep blue border.
The enamel is in perfect condition! The silver setting consists of a chiseled oval frame in a border set with half fine pearls.
The domed back bears the brooch system with piston safety clasp, which is certainly an old replacement that is perfectly functional.
In its domed wooden case covered in green leather and lined with cream velvet and satin that closes well.
Unhallmarked silver, tested with a touchstone.
Set in very good condition.
