"19th Century Travel Reliquary With Quills"
Beautiful diamond-shaped pilgrimage reliquary, a cardboard box with fine paper work imitating lace around the edge, all covered with a protective glass from the period in good condition. At the top, a blue fabric hook allowed it to be worn at the end of a cord during the journey. The interior contains four relics set with a floral decoration with a fine gold edge made of rolled paper: S. Felix (3rd century Pope) S. Clement, m (1st century Martyr of Rome) S. Gaudenti, m (4th century Martyr, decapitated) Agnus dei (consecrated wax) Diagonal dimensions: 7 x 12 cm Touching work of devotion from a French congregation during the 19th century.
