"Hu Youben (1961) - Fabric Painting Glued To Wood - Circa 1990 - Abstract Chinese"
Very beautiful abstract work by the Chinese artist Hu Youben (1961) and very decorative. It is a white fabric glued to a wooden panel. Using traditional Chinese paper and fabric production techniques, he creates "sui generis" artifacts, where ink, color and water create nuances. The artist explores space as well as the versatility of traditional rice paper, giving life to works with a strong materiality, whose reliefs and "wrinkles" make them real sculptures. The work is signed on the back on the paper.
Dimensions with the frame: 90 cm x 90 cm.
Good condition. Note a tear in the paper at the back of the work where the day was created in the wooden panel.
Born in Beijing in 1961, he studied at Beijing Academy of Painting, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Arts and became a Chinese contemporary artist in 1987. He is now a professional painter of Hebei Academy of Painting, a national first-class artist and a member of the China Fine Arts Association.
