Collonges la Rouge, although a long-standing tourist site, has not been a great playground for painters. This luminous canvas is one of the rare ones representing this place in the south of Corrèze. Our view of Collonges represents the view descending on the castle of Benge, a magnificent residence as red as the rest of this village located below it. This shaded alley opens onto the Corrèze landscape that the tower and the turret of Benge cut in two.
