"Martin Napoleon III Varnish Display Case"
Display case in mahogany veneer in the Martin varnish style, curved windows opening with two central doors. The lower parts are each decorated with Martin varnish panels depicting a romantic and gallant scene. The panels are surrounded by brass rods which embellish these decorations. The uprights of this display case are decorated at the top and bottom with bronze falls, chiseled with flowers and arabesques as well as the entire perimeter of the display case. It rests on four high curved feet decorated with chiseled elements. The lower crosspiece is decorated with chiseled bronze trim. The sides of the display case also have painted scenes of lake landscapes. The top shelf is made of veneer wood surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. The interior dressed in a raspberry-colored evening dress, offers two glass shelves and one dressed in evening dress. This piece of furniture has a working key.
