Orsay (91)”; label of the Photo-Ciné-Club of the Crédit Foncier de France in Paris dated 1964, unnumbered print. Surrealist photomontage consisting of a mosaic of upside-down flower buds, with the photographic addition of two pairs of eyes, probably retouched directly on the negative. This photograph was presented at the annual exhibition of the Photo-Ciné-Club of the Crédit Foncier de France, where Hamon worked. André Hamon (1900-1984) had a “very fine career at the Crédit Foncier de France, rewarded by an appointment as Chevalier of the Legion of Honour”.
