"Japanese Wall Vase In Lacquered And Woven Bamboo - Japan"
Very nice hanakago, wall-mounted vase in woven lacquered bamboo. Minimalist lines reminiscent of a fisherman's trap. The dark color gives even more elegance to the piece. The otoshi, container for water and flowers, is made of copper soldered with tin. Wall-mounted vases were used in tea houses. Japan, circa 1950, 19.5 x 9.5 x 6.5 cm.
