Cardeilhac : Large Sterling Silver & Vermeil Tea - Coffee Set With Mascarons / Fauns

Spectacular Tea-Coffee in solid Silver from the Napoleon III period. Complete service consisting of its Coffee Pot, Teapot, Covered Sugar Bowl and Pitcher / Creamer, a total of 4 Pieces with fabulous decoration of Mascarons / Fauns under all the pouring spouts, and handle attachments. Fantastic Fauns with large ears and open "mouths", in a foliage surround. The finials on the lids represent a bunch of fruit (grapes, pears, pomegranates ...) with an upwardly sweeping scroll. Interiors of the Coffee Pot, Sugar Bowl and Pitcher are in Vermeil (Gold on Silver).
Masterly crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is punched with the Minerva 1st Standard (.950) hallmark, and mark of the Master Goldsmith Armand-Edouard CARDEILHAC active in 1851, with in addition the Signature in full "CARDEILHAC Paris". This complete Tea-Coffee Service with spectacular decor is in excellent condition, particularly dense pieces (total of almost 3 kg), also revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, micro-scratches from use.
