"Oak And Rosewood Harmonium, Maison Alexandre Et Fils, Circa 1880"
Beautiful oak and rosewood harmonium from Alexandre et Fils, late 19th century. Presenting a very good general condition, this harmonium is in working order. The interior appearance suggests that a restoration was probably carried out a few years ago. However, like any old instrument, it will probably need to be returned to the hands of a specialist in order to be revised. Alexandre et Fils was famous for its manufacture of harmoniums, but also pianos and accordions. The address indicated on our instrument allows us to precisely date the manufacture of the latter between 1872 and 1882. In addition to its artistic and musical use, this harmonium is also a magnificent decorative object that truly gives a soul to the room in which it is located; not to mention the incomparable sound it produces, plunging the audience into a very special atmosphere. The side handles have been moved and are very solid. Superb piece.
