Monstrance - Reliquary Of The Holy Cross And Relics Of Saints/martyrs, Gilded Copper, 18th Century

Very rare Monstrance - Reliquary of "The Holy Cross" and the Saints: "S.ProsperiM., S.ossibus S.Florian M.,S. Walburgas V., S. Augustine M.,S. Monachi...M.?", in cruciform, fire-gilded copper. The polylobed base, embossed copper with chiseled and engraved decoration with rocaille and fleur-de-lys decoration; the gadrooned knot. The upper part in the shape of a cross with four encolpions (capsules - reliquaries) applied to the ends. In the middle a capsule housing a tiny fragment of the true cross surrounded by the rays of glory decorated with red glass cabochons. Sublime work from South Germany from the Louis XV period, probably last quarter of the 18th century. In good condition
