"Pair Of Important Armchairs With Large, High, Flat Backs In The Regency Style, Late 19th Century"
Important pair of Regency style armchairs from the end of the 19th century. Our two seats rest on four arched legs ending in volutes and decorated at the top with a pretty acanthus leaf work. The crosspieces of the belt are in the shape of an arcade and have a discreet molding. The armrests are straight and each decorated with a sleeve, they end with a scroll. The armrest supports are console-shaped, decorated at their base with an acanthus decoration. The backs are wide, flat and curved at their top. The seat of each seat is firm and very comfortable. It also has an extraordinary depth. The covering fabric has many signs of wear, in fact the threads have been pulled (cat!!!), however it is not pierced or torn and can be kept for a very long time. It has a studded finish. Dimensions: backrest height 98 cm seat height 39 cm total depth 92 cm seat depth 68 cm width 74 cm Shipping costs contact us
