Pewter shouldered pitcher with foot and quarter-round goblet and molded S-shaped thumb rest.
The goblet is fitted with a gauging cone indicating the "correct measure" to the consumer.
Control mark with the Valais coat of arms.
Stamped inventory mark: LXV.
Height: 26 cm.
VALAIS, 18th century.

The thumb rest has been replaced.
On one of the photos, the green and red arrows show that the owner of a drinking establishment, the innkeeper and owner of the pitcher leveled the original gauging cone and installed it lower to serve the consumer a slightly smaller quantity of wine. A little dishonesty...!
