Magnificent set of 6 engravings from the series Les Gueux from the 17th century by Jacques CALLOT (1592-1635). These 6 original engravings from the series Les Gueux were magnificently engraved in the 17th century. The set is very decorative. These subjects are engraved with a burin and represent Italian beggars. They belong to the series of twenty-five beggars or beggars, probably drawn in Florence and printed in Nancy around 1622/23. The 6 engravings are numbers 21 - 15 - 5 - 7 - 14 - 13 which represent: No. 5: the beggar on crutches wearing a hat and seen from behind No. 7: the beggar woman with a rosary No. 13: the puny man No. 14: the beggar with a wooden leg No. 15: the one-eyed woman No. 21: the obese beggar with downcast eyes Beautiful gilded frame.
