Beautiful shine and very good condition, some visible scratches from use on the tray, but no desilvering.
Alfénide hallmark in full. "OC" hallmark with horse's head for "Orfèvrerie Christofle".
Alfénide is a silver-plated metal manufacturer, created by Charles Halphen and bought by Christofle at the end of the 19th century.
In the 20th century, Christofle used this trademark to produce certain models that duplicated others in its range.
Alfénide is a company created by Charles Halphen & frères, French chemists and goldsmiths in the 19th century.
