"Secretary “happiness Of The Day” Empire Period"
Magnificent “Bonheur-du-Jour” secretary from the First Empire period, this piece of furniture is distinguished by its mahogany veneer and its rich gilded bronze ornamentation, making it exceptional in its category. The top is in Carrara marble, while the decorative bronzes display plant and animal motifs. The keyhole of the large drawer is decorated with two roosters facing each other, and the desk is decorated with two winged lions, or rather chimeras. The other two bronzes of the large drawer also represent chimeras with winged lion bodies and bird heads. The piece of furniture is in good used condition. Height 121 cm / Width 87 cm / Depth 43 cm
