"Louis XV Desk From The First Half Of The 19th Century"
Important five-drawer desk, centerpiece, in the Louis XV style of the first half of the 19th century, all veneered in rosewood, moved on all sides with double movement both in the horizontal and vertical part, typical of the Louis XV style. It has a writing surface completely shaped and covered in original black leather of the time. It is enriched by beautiful gilded bronze fittings on most of it and embellished on the two sides by two elegant porcelain plaques stamped on the back "see photo" not very legible but they seem to be by Jacob Petit, decorated on a white background with floral decoration surrounded by a gold border in relief and externally by a blue border typical of the porcelain of that period.
