Biography:
Albert Ferdinand DUPRAT 1882 / 1974
Born in Venice, Post-Impressionist landscape painter Albert Duprat studied at the School of Fine Arts in Venice, his hometown. His works reveal his love for Italy and in particular for Venice constantly represented in his paintings with canals, monuments and splendid views of the lagoon. With great skill, inspired by French painting of the late 19th century, he represented the views of the city under a twilight vision. Painter of light, the reflections of the sky in the water are of great dexterity and realism.
Later, Duprat also settled in Paris where he chose to paint the Seine and its bridges, where his extraordinary ability to represent the reflections of light on the water, is expressed in wider and brighter panoramas.
