6 French Modernist Chairs By Maison Stella Circa 50

A stunning and rare set of 6 French modernist dining chairs produced by Maison Stella in the 1950s. Elegant sculptural beech frames with their original leatherette upholstery. Elegant and sculpted form from all angles. This set is in original condition with the frames showing minor imperfections in the form of cosmetic blemishes, slight discolouration around the legs and overall minor wear consistent with age and use. They are however very solid and sturdy. The leatherette upholstery is also original with some cosmetic blemishes. Although the chairs are perfectly usable as is we would recommend reupholstery. The chairs retain their original maker's marks as seen in the photo. A truly stunning and dramatic set of chairs, extremely regal in their form, with a bit of a Gio Ponti vibe.
