Delicate portrait of an elegant woman, an open fan in her hand, leaning against a grand piano, painted by Octan Gallian, painter born in Toulon in 1855 and died in Paris in 1918. Octave Gallian studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris with Jules Lefebvre, Gustave Boulanger and Charles Ginoux, talented portraitist, he also liked landscapes and seascapes of his native regions. Many of his paintings are present in the Art museums of Angoulême, Toulon and the Navy.
