"Large Oudenaarde Tapestry Woven In Wool"
Oudenaarde tapestry - Flanders, with lush forest decorations, a gallant scene in the foreground, a deer hunt in the 2nd plane and a castle in the background. It was especially in the 16th century that the production and global export of this luxury product reached its peak. Oudenaarde was then one of the largest centers of tapestry, with Arras, Tournai, Brussels, Ghent and Bruges. Newly framed in an American box in solid oak. (measurements with frame)
