Pair of collector's scissors, circa 1770, a system incorporating two blade springs, all from steel, deeply engraved, threaded oval rings, as is edge on each side; stems, each starting from a shell or a basket, allow a beautifully intertwined climbing rosebush to rise on each side, giving a rose on each side.
Beautiful double screw axis, (traces of wear), and: small FLAW: end of blades is slightly blunt. (easy to re-cut) 12.5cm x 4.3cm.
