Sculpture Of A Dentist Bear, Exceptional Black Forest Work, Certainly, In Walnut, 19th Century

Exceptional carved walnut wood sculpture depicting two bears, a scene at the dentist, the subject is extremely rare and the sculpture work truly exceptional; the photos are far from reproducing reality, this object is so beautiful.
The bears are splendid, the bodies, the heads, the sculptor artist has achieved perfection in his work here. Also note the treatment chair on which our sick bear, mouth wide open, seems to suffer martyrdom; this beautiful chair whose armrests adopt feline heads. In the foreground on the right a hat and a box contain the torture utensils for the care of this poor animal.
You will have noticed that the end of a paw of the treated bear is missing, he must have suffered an accident in the past which meant that his paw was sadly amputated.
Having practiced sculpture I can tell you that a "good" sculptor artist would be able to remake this missing part for around €150 or €200.
But this must remain at the wish of each person because for my part, I kept this object for more than 20 years "in its juice".
