"Large Ceramic Rooster Signed Comoléra"
Large polychrome enameled ceramic rooster signed on the terrace Paul Comolera. It is leaning against a vase decorated with ears of wheat and flowers. Stamp under the base Hippolyte Boulanger Choisy le Roi around 1880-1890. Very expressive and proud, this subject presents a very beautiful palette of colors that has kept all its brilliance. Note two small accidents, one on an ear of wheat, the other on the spur of the right leg. Base 33 cm x 27 cm Paul Comoléra, Parisian animal sculptor, student of François Rude, mainly represents domestic animals and birds, such as this proud gallinaceous bird.
