Japan, early EDO period, circa 1610. Zunari helmet (kabuto) with 3 plates in black lacquered iron, neck protector (shikoro), hineno with 5 lamellae, laced in brown, beige and green. Central ornament (maedate) in gold and silver lacquered wood. Triple Tomo with 2 maple leaves. 2 side ornaments (wakidate) in the shape of rounded horns in black and gold lacquered wood. Mask (menpo) in black lacquered iron, gray horsehair moustache, red lacquered interior. Throat protector. Accidents and losses. H: 63 cm with base.
