Very rare pewter BOWL with console ears decorated with palmettes and ribboned outline, with flat-topped lid decorated with cardinal flowers and palmettes, with cup-shaped grip.
Hallmark of Jacques ARCHIMBAUD received master around 1693: FIN / griffin / I star A.
Length: 29 cm.
LYON, End of the 17th or beginning of the 18th century

The pewter industry flourished in Lyon and produced one of the most beautiful models of French pewter goldsmithing production.
Consolidation of the grip of the lid, invisible on the outside.
