Beautiful pair of chairs with "gendarme hat" backs, in molded and carved beech, the openwork backs centered with a lyre decorated with pearl friezes, the uprights in columns topped with plumes and finished with lotus leaves, the racket-shaped seat, the belts highlighted with pearl friezes, supported by four tapered and finely fluted legs (minor accidents).
Both stamped "JN+LX+" for Julien Leroux, master in Dijon under the reign of Louis XVI.

Horsehair upholstery decorated with quadrilobed motifs in gold on a blue background.
