"Dissecting Microscope By Baker, C. 1870"
Complete and preserved model in its transport box of this simple dissection microscope of the Baker type, and signed by the latter, with its three lenses of different magnifications (the largest has a small chip on one edge but which does not hinder its use in any way). The instrument is signed "Baker, 244 High Holborn London". We can date it around 1870. The three lenses are kept in the drawer of the case and the microscope can be stored in its wooden travel case. Uncommon. The case measures 20x14c13.5cm Despite an old, slightly corrosive cleaning, the microscope is in good working order.
