The case is rectangular, the body is in plain silver. The lid is guilloché with fine wavelets and enameled in a pale green in the center and light turquoise blue around the edge. Volutes and scrolls are left in reserve at the four corners.
The case opens with a push button on one edge, the hinge is spring-loaded.
The inside of the case is engraved with a dedication to be deciphered.
