BURMA - 19th century. Circular thabiek bowl in 950 thousandths solid silver worked with repoussé and very finely chiseled. The belly decorated in bas-relief with six scenes from the Ramanaya framed by a frieze of leafy scrolls and a geometric frieze. The underside engraved with a Buddha in Bhûmisparsha-mudrā (taking the earth as witness). Wear and tear on the faces of the characters. 19th century. Dimensions: 7.5 x 13 x 13 cm. Weight: 245 g.
